Petitions (Start Your Case)
Joint Petition for Simplified Dissolution of Marriage
For couples who both agree to divorce, have no minor or dependent children together, the wife is not pregnant, and who have already divided their property and debts. Both spouses sign and file together.
Petition for Dissolution of Marriage with Property but No Dependent or Minor Children
Starts a divorce when you and your spouse have property and/or debts to divide but have no minor or dependent children together and the wife is not pregnant.
Petition for Dissolution of Marriage with No Dependent or Minor Children or Property
Starts a divorce when you and your spouse have no minor or dependent children together, the wife is not pregnant, and there is no property or debt to divide.
Financial Affidavits
Family Law Financial Affidavit (Short Form)
A sworn statement of your income, expenses, assets, and debts. Use the Short Form if your individual gross income is less than $50,000 per year.
Family Law Financial Affidavit (Long Form)
A detailed sworn statement of your income, expenses, assets, and debts. Use the Long Form if your individual gross income is $50,000 or more per year.
Settlement Agreements
Marital Settlement Agreement for Dissolution of Marriage with Dependent or Minor Children
A written agreement between you and your spouse that settles property, debts, parenting, time-sharing, and support when you have minor or dependent children together.
Marital Settlement Agreement with Property but No Dependent or Minor Children
A written agreement between you and your spouse that settles the division of property and debts when you have no minor or dependent children together.
Marital Settlement Agreement for Simplified Dissolution of Marriage
The settlement agreement used with a Simplified Dissolution. Both spouses list how they divide their assets and debts and sign under oath.
Responding to a Case
Answer, Waiver, and Request for Copy of Final Judgment of Dissolution of Marriage
Used by the spouse who was served (the Respondent) to respond to the petition, waive further notice of the proceedings, and request a copy of the final judgment.
Service & Supporting Documents
Summons: Personal Service on an Individual
The official notice delivered to your spouse letting them know a case has been filed and that they have 20 days to respond. Issued by the clerk and served on the other party.
Notice of Related Cases
Tells the court about any other pending or closed cases (such as domestic violence, paternity, or child support) that involve the same parties, children, or issues.
